OSE-17 was a full success!!!

From September 7th till 9th over 200 participants found their way to Hildesheim, Germany. The OSE Board spoke of the most successful OSE-Conference so far. Here are some facts and figures about the great event.

  • About 70 people participated in the preconference Think Tank on Occupation Based Social Transformation
  • Far over 200 people participated at the OSE-Conference
  • Participants came from 24 different countries
    (Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Pakistan, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Syria, United Kingdom, United States)
  • 30 parallel sessions took place on two days
    • 16 Posters
    • 2 Tandem Papers
    • 54 Theoretical and Research Papers
    • 8 Panel Sessions
  • Over 80 Presenters were on site
  • Presenters came from 18 different countries
    (Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States)
  • The Igniter Talk of the Think Tank and four sessions of the OSE-17 Conference were live streamed
  • About 40 users accessed the live stream each day
  • People joined in from, North and South America, Asia, Australia and Europe (Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom)

You can register at the registration desk / conference office, which is located at Goschentor 1, in the Foyer. It is occupied during the following hours:

Program online / Announcement on live streaming

The OSE-17 Conference is approaching and a great program has come together. You can browse the conference agenda on ConfTool. To do so, you have to be logged in, but not necessarily registered for the conference.

You haven’t decided yet to register and be with us at this great event? You can still do so until August 31st 2017!

But for those of you who can’t attend, but are very interested in the conference, we have great news!  A few sessions on Friday and on Saturday, as well as the igniter talk of the Think Tank on Thursday will be life streamed.

Get excited for upcoming news on how to join the streaming, and which sessions will be streamed. Spread the word to those who might be interested! Information will be made available via the homepage and the OSE-17 mailing list.

Keynote Speaker Announcement

We are pleased to announce our three keynote speakers for the 4th conference of Occupational Science Europe “Meeting in Diversity – Occupation as a Common Ground”. We are very excited that three prestigious speakers with diverse backgrounds in and understandings of occupational science have accepted our invitation to inspire us with their perspectives on occupational science’s past and future!

Be with us, when Professor Emerita Ruth Zemke, Ph.D. (USA), Professor Debbie Rudman, Ph.D. (Canada), and Professor Dr. Anne Roberts (GB) share their perspectives on occupational science on September 8th and 9th in Hildesheim, Germany.

Information for students

Milestone: Review Process Completed

We were excited to have received over a hundred submissions for the OSE-2017 conference in Hildesheim. The overall quality of submissions was very high and we are looking forward to hosting a great conference! All submitted abstracts have been reviewed by at least three reviewers and the program committee’s final decisions will be sent out soon.

We would like to thank our international abstract review board, which consisted of occupational scientists and experts from ten countries (Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Georgia, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, and United Kingdom), for their expertise and time.
